Benihana in Torrance is seeking a Hibachi chef to deliver a memorable dining experience. You will perform entertaining cooking shows, prepare a variety of foods, and ensure portions meet standards while maintaining a clean hibachi area.

Qualifications

• Must have a High School diploma or GED.
• Must be able to successfully pass Benihana chef training program.
• Previous experience as chef or cook highly desirable.

Responsibilities

• Greets and welcomes guests within 15 minutes of their teppan order(s).
• Performs a cooking show for assigned tables ensuring interaction with guests is appropriate and courteous.
• Reads guests' inquiries and provides information about Benihana foods.
• Responds promptly and courteously to guest requests and follows guest instructions.
• Performs shift opening and closing duties and maintains kitchen areas and hibachi tables clean and sanitized.
