Qualifications

  • Doctorate in Reading/Literacy Education or related field.
  • Expertise in the Science of Reading and structured literacy.
  • Knowledge of Ohio literacy mandates and dyslexia requirements.
  • Evidence of successful P–12 or higher education teaching experience.
  • Emerging record of scholarly activity.
  • Commitment to preparing educators to teach diverse learners.

Responsibilities

  • Teach undergraduate and graduate literacy courses aligning with standards.
  • Supervise field experiences and support clinical practice placements.
  • Engage in curriculum development and accreditation reporting.
  • Maintain an active research agenda and present findings at conferences.
  • Participate in school–university partnerships and service activities.
