Job summary

Ohio State University seeks an Assistant Clinical Professor in Literacies, Literature, and Learning to support PK-8 licensure and Reading Endorsement programs. The position is to be based on the Columbus campus and starts in August 2027.

The successful candidate will primarily teach and mentor students, engage in RWRP-related research, and contribute to teaching and service within the Department of Teaching and Learning. Collaboration across OSU campuses and with schools will be essential.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated ability to teach PK-8 courses.
• Experience mentoring preservice teachers.
• Active research aligned with Reading and Writing ResearchPractice Initiative (RWRP).
• Collaborative work with schools, districts, and other OSU faculty.

Responsibilities

• Teach undergraduate and graduate PK-8 courses.
• Mentor and advise students at graduate and undergraduate levels.
• Engage in research connected to RWRP goals; contribute to scholarly activity.
• Support licensure, accreditation, and field/student teaching placements.
• Participate in department, college, and professional service.
