The successful candidate should expect to work up to 19 hours per week.* The rate of pay for this position is $23.00 - $23.50/hour depending on experience.* This is an on-site position at the Johnson Museum of Art. The job does not support a hybrid or remote schedule.* This position does not support visa sponsorship.The Johnson Museum’s permanent collection numbers 40,000 works, spanning six millennia and encompassing art from most world cultures. The Museum enhances and supports faculty teaching across Cornell’s schools and departments by hosting approximately 350 class sessions per academic year in the Museum’s galleries and classrooms. **The position:**In coordination with your supervisor, you will maintain gallery and reception desk operations following museum and university policy.Your responsibilities include greeting visitors, providing information, answering a multi-line telephone, logging activities, distributing keys and access cards, and maintaining daily museum parking and maintenance logs.As a Visitor Services Associate, you will monitor the lobby and surroundings, assist with opening and closing procedures, and support the Museum’s development department and event scheduling using 25Live.In this position, you will be required to work a flexible schedule (weekdays, evenings, and/or weekends). You must be able to alternate between sitting and standing for extended periods and use staircases repeatedly.
