Job summary

NC State University is seeking a Sports Programs Events Supervisor (Temporary) in Raleigh, NC. The role oversees event execution, facility reservations, and ensures a safe, supervised environment during evening and weekend shifts.

Responsibilities include setting up and breaking down event gear, updating staff on logistics, guiding participants with information, managing conduct, and responding to emergencies while maintaining facility cleanliness.

Responsibilities

• Set up and break down equipment for events and vendors.
• Stay up to date with event logistics and inform professional staff of shift details.
• Provide participants and visitors with correct information about events and the facility.
• Manage participants and visitors behaviors and mediate conflict.
• Proactively assess and respond to potential risks to prevent harm to participants or staff; provide initial care and coordinate a professional response to injuries.
• Maintain the cleanliness of equipment and facility.
• Attend non-revenue generating sporting events for free.
• Understand and enforce Wellness and Recreation and area specific guidelines.
• Knowledge and implementation of emergency action plan.
• Attend required training and staff meetings.
• Develop professional relationships with coworkers, participants and guests.
• Perform other related duties to support the overall functioning of the department.
