Theuniversityunion in Raleigh, NC is seeking a part-time Sports Official to supervise YMCA sports programs, officiate games, and ensure safety and fair play. Under the supervision of the Sports Director, you will assist with league initiatives, scheduling, and on-site game management.

Responsibilities include on-site direction of games, liaising with staff/parents, and ensuring safety standards are upheld. Must be 16+, with BLS/First Aid certification on hire, and a willingness to work

Qualifications

Must be at least 16 years of age.
Good understanding of sports, rules, and youth leagues.
Ability to supervise peers and maintain a safe environment.
Certification in Basic Life Support/First Aid and Emergency Oxygen required on hire.
Ability to relate to diverse groups; multilingual abilities are a plus.

Responsabilités

Provide feedback and communication to the Sports Director about the program.
Assist in planning and implementing league initiatives, including scheduling and team building.
Maintain strong relationships with staff, participants, parents, and school staff.
Serve as on-site director for games and practices.
Ensure referees meet standards and oversee training and supervision.
Keep facilities clean and safe before and after programs.
Attend departmental meetings and events.
