BEST Crowd Management is hiring an Event Security Officer in Raleigh, NC. The role supports NC State University events by maintaining a secure, welcoming environment for attendees, staff, and vendors.

You will patrol areas, monitor entrances, and respond to incidents while collaborating with police and event personnel. The position offers part-time hours, flexible scheduling, and opportunities for training and advancement.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old and meet local regulations.
• High school diploma or equivalent; some college preferred.
• Experience in event security or related field is advantageous.
• Ability to stand/walk for extended periods.
• Valid security license or willingness to obtain one.
• Pass background check and drug screening.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a visible, professional security presence per client and BEST standards.
• Patrol assigned areas to deter incidents and ensure safety.
• Monitor access points, conduct bag checks, and screenings.
• Respond to security incidents and medical emergencies promptly.
• Coordinate with event staff, law enforcement, and emergency services.
• Assist attendees with directions and information.
• Report security occurrences to supervisors and document activities.
• Follow policies and maintain professionalism and security effectiveness.
