Job summary

Catlin Gabel School is seeking a Temporary Helpdesk Support Technician to provide friendly, first-line technology support for students, educators, staff, families, and guests. This entry-level role offers a full-time temporary opportunity for approximately 4-6 months, with potential extension based on school needs.

You will move between walk-up support, helpdesk tickets, device setup, classrooms, and events, supported by an experienced Technology team.

Qualifications

• Service-oriented communicator capable of explaining technical issues clearly to users with varying levels of technical proficiency.
• Curious problem-solver who asks good questions and can identify reasonable next steps.
• Reliable and organized, able to manage multiple requests and document work carefully.

Responsibilities

• Deliver first-line helpdesk support in person, via tickets, phone, email, and remote tools.
• Set up and maintain devices, assist with software deployment and basic configuration, coordinate repairs.
• Support classroom, meeting, and event technology including audiovisual and presentation systems.
• Document requests and resolutions, update help documentation, and collaborate with the Technology team.
