Job summary

ISS STOXX GmbH is seeking a Temporary Research Analyst to join our Custom Research team in Rockville, MD or Washington, DC. This on-site role runs Jan 2027 through Jun 2027, with potential extension to full-time. The role involves governance research and tailored client reports with overtime during peak weeks.

You will collaborate with regional teams, manage deliverables, and contribute to process improvements while delivering high-quality analyses for diverse clients in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s and/or Master’s degree in finance, economics, law or equivalent.
• Preferably experience in a related field such as finance, research, or law.
• Ability to commit to the duration of the assignment.
• Proven ability to exercise superior judgment.
• Organizational skills, attention to detail, ability to multi-task in a high-pressure environment.
• Work effectively with clients and colleagues across staff lines.
• Experience providing innovative solutions to processes and problems.
• Excellent writing and research abilities, proofreading skills, and well-developed oral and written communication skills.
• Strong computer literacy; MS Office and Excel a plus.

Responsibilities

• Complete basic and advanced analytical governance research of specific meetings and companies.
• Distill financial and governance information and issue proxy vote recommendations per client guidelines.
• Prepare client-specific reports and policy-related projects.
• Research policy-related issues and support staff on projects.
• Identify process improvements to enhance the department’s offerings.
• Assist the team with supervision of projects/tasks as needed.
• Manage work allocation and timeliness of client deliverables.
