Job summary

Self-Help is hiring a Temporary Member Service Representative/Teller for our Salisbury, NC location. You will initiate discussions to identify member needs, process deposits and transfers, disburse cash, and open new accounts while maintaining accuracy and compliance.

We value bilingual communication, excellent customer service, and teamwork. Flexible hours including evenings and weekends may be required; travel to cover other branches possible.

Qualifications

• High School graduate or equivalent.
• Bilingual English/Spanish preferred but not required.
• Minimum one year experience in financial institution or customer service.
• Prior cash handling and customer service responsibilities preferred.
• Ability to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends.
• Commitment to teamwork and sharing a mission to create economic opportunity.

Responsibilities

• Initiate and lead conversations to identify and assess member needs.
• Maintain and enhance member account relationships by providing excellent service.
• Process share deposit payments, loan payments, payrolls, and transfers.
• Disburse cash and check withdrawals.
• Open new membership accounts and assess for accuracy and compliance.
• Promote credit union products and services.
• Achieve branch growth goals.
• Observe security procedures and prevent fraud.
• Provide translation support if needed.
