Job summary

IVIRMA North America network is seeking a Temporary Medical Assistant in Lafayette to join our fertility practice. This full-time temporary role runs Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM–4:30 PM, supporting exam rooms, patient care, specimen collection, and phlebotomy under physician supervision.

The position requires 6+ months MA experience, weekend/holiday/evening availability, and familiarity with Outlook/Excel. Preferred candidates may have Phlebotomy and CMA training and EMR experience.

Qualifications

• 6+ months of Medical Assistant experience in a physician practice.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, especially Outlook and Excel.
• Preferred completion of Certified Medical Assistant Program and Phlebotomy Program.

Responsibilities

• Prepare exam and procedure rooms
• Support patients during clinical visits and procedures
• Perform specimen collection and processing
• Assist Physicians with patient care and clinical procedures
• Maintain supplies and ensure rooms and equipment are clean and fully stocked

IVIRMA North America network of state-of-the-art fertility practices in the United States, is currently seeking a Temporary Medical Assistant to join our growing Lafayette practice! This is a full-time temporary position Monday-Friday 7am-4:30pm.

Essential Functions And Accountabilities

• Prepare exam and procedure rooms
• Support patients during clinical visits and procedures
• Perform specimen collection and processing
• Assist Physicians with patient care and clinical procedures
• Maintain supplies and ensure rooms and equipment are clean and fully stocked
• Practice phlebotomy
• Maintain clinical supplies inventory.
• Specimen collection, processing for in-house and outside laboratories.
• Provide patients with information regarding upcoming procedures and reassurance/comfort before, during and after procedures.

Academic Training

• Completion of Certified Medical Assistant Program – preferred
• Phlebotomy Program – preferred

Requirements

• 6+ months experience as a Medical Assistant in physician practice
• Must be able to work weekends, holidays, and occasional evenings
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office, especially Outlook and Excel

Preferred Experience

• 1+ year Phlebotomy experience or willingness to learn preferred
• Prior experience in Fertility, OBGYN, or Women’s healthcare – preferred
• Experience supporting clinical procedures is a plus
• Electronic Medical Record (EMR) experience - preferred
