Job summary

Maricopa County Elections in Arizona seeks seasonal Temporary Mail Couriers to support ballot operations. You will perform postal runs, collect mailed ballots, and drop off ballots for imaging and verification.

Role involves loading/unloading ballot carts, operating mail-opening machinery, and assisting with end-of-day cleanup. Eligible candidates may receive a one-time $1,250 retention incentive.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Must be registered voter or able to become one in AZ by hire date.
  • Must possess or obtain a valid Arizona driver's license by hire date.
  • Must pass a background screening and fingerprint check.
  • Overtime may be required during the election cycle.

Responsibilities

  • Picks up and delivers ballots and mail items to and from USPS and vendor facilities.
  • Loads/unloads ballot carts and operates mail-opening machinery during processing.
  • Assists with end-of-day cleanup and mail room organization.
  • Performs post-processing duties such as imaging and signature verification setup.
