Job summary

Maricopa County is seeking a Temporary Hotline Representative to handle inbound calls from poll workers and voters, create detailed tickets, and coordinate troubleshooting or dispatches as needed.

The role supports multiple divisions within the Recorder’s Office and requires strong communication skills, adaptability, and the ability to learn quickly. Evening and weekend hours may be required during the election cycle.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Must be a registered voter in Arizona by hire.
  • Must pass applicable background screening.
  • Must be able to work irregular hours and shifts as needed.
  • Must have a valid AZ driver’s license by hire.
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Takes inbound calls from Poll Workers at Vote Centers, Troubleshooters, or Curbside Voters and creates tickets detailing the call.
  • Provides troubleshooting over the phone, places tickets for orders or dispatches help to Vote Centers.
  • Supports other divisions of the Recorder’s Office with daily tasks and assigned duties.

You are responsible for creating a detailed ticket of each call, providing troubleshooting assistance, ordering supplies, and dispatching help to the Vote Center when needed. This cross-functional position will also support divisional operations within early voting (Signature Verification, Curing, etc.). The ideal candidate will be adaptable, possess strong interpersonal skills, and be able to learn new tasks quickly.
