Maricopa County Elections is hiring a Temporary BTC Operator to organize and process ballots, perform data entry, and support the election workflow in office, field, or customer-facing roles. Start date October for the November General Election.
This temporary position requires high school diploma or GED, voter registration in AZ by hire, ability to pass background check, overtime, legible penmanship, and some office/computer experience. Bilingual English/Spanish preferred.

As a Temporary BTC Operator, you facilitate the election process by organizing and processing ballots and performing data entry. This position requires the employee to work in the office, in the field, or customer-facing for all hours worked. This is a temporary position supporting the November General Election with an anticipated start date in October.

We Require This position requires a high school diploma or GED. Other Requirements Must be a registered voter or have the ability to become a registered voter in the State of Arizona by the time of hire Must pass an applicable background screening Must be able to work overtime as necessary Must have legible penmanship We Also Value One or more years of general office experience One or more years of moderate computer use experience One or more years of election experience Bilingual in English and Spanish
Full-time/Temporary/Holidays/Overtime hours are mandatory during the election cycle Requires upper extremity repetitive motion, the ability to review small fonts on hard copy or computer screen, the ability to lift floor-to-shoulder and shoulder-to-waist up to 50 pounds, and carry for 100 feet, and the ability to stand for extended periods of time All operations will be conducted under Livestream cameras and in the presence of political observers Must not engage in any political discussions Requires the use of proprietary elections-related software, a tabulation machine, scanners, and Microsoft Office products Closed-toed shoes must be worn at all times
