Job summary

Robinwood Retirement Community is seeking a Temporary Dishwasher / Kitchen Prep to support residents and staff during a 6+ week period. You will prepare a fresh salad bar, assist in dining room service, and ensure clean, sanitary dishware and kitchen areas.

The role emphasizes a friendly service approach, adherence to safety, and teamwork in a warm, community-focused setting. No prior culinary experience is required, with a Monday–Sunday schedule as described.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Ability to read, speak and understand basic English.
• No previous culinary experience is required.
• Able to obtain food handler permits within 2 weeks of first day.

Responsibilities

• Operate the dish machine and monitor water temperatures for proper sanitization.
• Wash, store and handle all tableware and kitchenware; keep dish area clean.
• Assist in dining room by bussing tables and delivering room-service orders.
• Safely use ovens, steamers, grills and other kitchen tools.
• Respond politely to food comments or complaints and report concerns to leadership.
• Perform support work and any additional tasks, including trash removal.
