Job summary

Robinwood Retirement Community in Michigan is seeking a Kitchen Prep / Dishwasher to support residents' dining experiences. You will prepare, stock and maintain a fresh salad bar, assist in the dining room, and ensure clean tableware and equipment.

This entry-level role requires you to be 18+, able to work Tue-Sat 11:30am–8:00pm, and obtain a food handler permit within two weeks. No prior culinary experience needed; training provided; join a family-focused team in a resort-style community with

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Ability to work Tue-Sat 11:30am–8:00pm.
• Ability to read, speak and understand basic English.
• No previous culinary experience is required.
• Able to obtain food handler permits within first two weeks of employment.

Responsibilities

• Operate the dish machine by loading, running, unloading, and reporting any mechanical issues; monitor/log water temperatures to ensure sanitization.
• Wash, store, and handle all tableware and kitchenware; maintain a clean dish room and ensure adequate clean items for dining room and kitchen.
• Assist in dining room by bussing tables, filling water carafes, preparing tables before meals, and delivering room-service orders.
• Safely use ovens, steamers, grills, and kitchen tools, including sharp utensils and small appliances to support daily food preparation.
• Listen and respond politely to food comments or complaints and report concerns to leadership.
• Perform support work and additional tasks, including trash removal.
