Job summary

Washington State Employees Credit Union in Olympia, WA is seeking a Temporary Facilities Maintenance Support to assist with daily facility operations, focusing on building maintenance, FF&E, and Mail Room tasks while maintaining a clean, safe, and secure environment for staff and members.

You will install and configure furniture, support meeting room setups, respond to management requests, assist with special projects, and ensure work aligns with building, safety, and credit union standards.

Qualifications

• Working knowledge of business computer applications, including Microsoft Word, Outlook, and Excel.
• Knowledge of commercial construction techniques and terminology, building finish specifications, cost estimating, project scheduling, space planning, and OSHA requirements.
• Ability to accurately read a tape measure and safely operate small power tools and manual hand tools.
• Demonstrating ability to exercise independent judgment and sound decision-making, anticipating customer needs, and providing exceptional service.
• Able to adapt quickly to changing priorities, taking initiative, managing multiple responsibilities, and meeting deadlines in a high-volume environment.
• Understanding of facility related functions, including but not limited to, furniture systems, building systems
• Establishing facility procedures, managing vendors and scheduling facility coverage
• Flexibility to work overtime on short notice, adjust work schedules as needed, and travel throughout Washington State
• Ability to respond to and help coordinate the Facilities Department’s response to facility emergencies.
