Job summary

Williams College is seeking dependable, detail-oriented individuals to join our Temporary Exam Proctor pool for the 2026-27 academic year. Proctors will monitor the Testing Center to ensure a secure, quiet environment for exams and assist with materials and student support as needed.

Shifts are part-time with variable hours, generally 9am-5:30pm, plus occasional evenings, and will be scheduled in advance based on course calendars and student accommodations.

Qualifications

• Must have basic computer skills.
• Must be detail-oriented and accurate in monitoring exams.
• Ability to remain seated or move quietly for extended periods (2–4 hours).
• Ability to address student questions calmly and impartially.

Responsibilities

• Monitor the Testing Center to maintain a secure, quiet, low-distraction environment.
• Administer and handle exam materials and logistics during exams.
• Provide basic support to students during exams and monitor integrity of the process.
• Shift-based supervision with flexible hours aligned to course schedules and proctor availability.
