Job summary

Temporary Credit Controller
Type: Temporary, 3-month booking
Salary: £15.00 to £16.00 per hour
Location: Uxbridge area, office based
Hours: Full time, Monday to Friday
Start: 1 October

Our client is looking for an experienced Temporary Credit Controller to join a busy finance function on an initial three-month basis.

This is a hands-on role managing customer accounts, following up outstanding payments and helping ensure accurate financial records are maintained. It would suit someone who is confident speaking with customers, comfortable working across different systems and able to get up to speed quickly in a busy environment.

Duties include

• Following up outstanding customer payments by telephone and email
• Monitoring customer accounts and helping ensure agreed payment terms are met
• Allocating incoming payments and maintaining accurate account records
• Investigating and resolving invoice and payment queries
• Reconciling customer accounts and identifying outstanding or incorrectly allocated items
• Issuing statements, invoice copies and payment reminders
• Maintaining clear records of collection activity and customer correspondence
• Assisting with aged debt reporting and updates on outstanding balances
• Liaising with internal teams to resolve account and invoice queries
• Using Excel to maintain, review and update financial information
• Supporting the wider finance team with additional duties when required

The ideal Temporary Credit Controller will have

• Previous Credit Control or Accounts Receivable experience
• Confidence chasing outstanding debt and speaking with customers
• Strong Excel skills
• The ability to learn new finance systems quickly
• Good numerical skills and strong attention to detail
• An organised approach to managing a busy workload
• Confident telephone and written communication skills
• Availability to start on 1 October and commit to the three-month booking
