The Wyoming Department of Transportation (WYDOT) in Casper is seeking a temporary part-time Equipment Mechanic Assistant to support heavy-duty vehicle maintenance. You will assist in diesel and gasoline engine overhauls, brakes, steering, transmission, and hydraulic repairs under direct supervision.
Preference given to applicants with prior automotive maintenance experience. This role requires reading manuals, using diagnostic tools, and maintaining shop inventory in a dynamic work environment.
Under direct supervision, assist Casper WYDOT Mechanics in performing a variety of maintenance and repair tasks with automotive equipment on heavy-duty vehicles, including diesel and gasoline engine overhauls and tune-ups, brakes, steering, transmission, and hydraulic repair. This is a temporary part-time position.
