State of Wyoming, through WYDOT, seeks an assistant technician to support heavy equipment maintenance in Torrington or Wheatland. The role covers diesel and gasoline engine work, brakes, steering, transmission, and hydraulics in a temporary, full-time setting.
Responsibilities include reading manuals to diagnose issues, creating repair orders, maintaining shop inventory, and fabricating parts for tractors and machinery. A valid driver's license and ability to lift 50 pounds are required.
Under direct supervision, assist WYDOT Mechanics in performing a variety of maintenance and repair tasks with automotive equipment on heavy-duty vehicles, including diesel and gasoline engine overhauls and tune-ups, brakes, steering, transmission, or hydraulic repair. This position can be located in Torrington or Wheatland, WY. Only one position is available. This is a temporary full-time position.
