Job summary

The University of Northern Iowa is seeking a part-time custodian to support building maintenance. Duties include cleaning, trash/recycling, changing light bulbs, snow/ice removal, and reporting repairs.

Schedule is Monday–Friday, 3:00 pm–11:30 pm; this is a temporary position with a maximum of 1040 hours per fiscal year. Minimum requirements include the ability to read, write, and follow directions; prior cleaning experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Ability to read, write, and follow directions.
• Prior cleaning experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform custodial duties for general building maintenance.
• Empty trash and recycling, change light bulbs, and operate cleaning equipment.
• Shovel snow and spread ice melt at building entrances; report needed repairs.
• Lock and unlock doors and complete repair slips as required.
