University of Northern Iowa in Cedar Falls, IA, is seeking a temporary custodian to maintain building cleanliness and safety. This position involves lifting, carrying, bending, shoveling snow, changing light bulbs, and reporting repairs, with a schedule Monday through Friday, 3:00 pm–11:30 pm, up to 1040 hours per fiscal year.
Responsibilities include operating cleaning equipment, locking and unlocking doors, and assisting with supply orders.

Under direct supervision, performs custodial duties necessary for the general maintenance of buildings which involve tasks that require carrying, lifting, bending; empties trash and recycling; changes light bulbs in assigned areas using stepladder; shovels snow and spreads ice melt to maintain building entrances; reports needed repairs by completing repair slips; fills out order forms for requesting cleaning materials, supplies, etc.; locks and unlocks doors; operates machines to facilitate cleaning activities; and performs other related duties as assigned. This is a temporary position with a work schedule of Monday - Friday, 3:00 pm to 11:30 pm. Temporary positions are limited to 1040 hours per fiscal year.
Ability to read, write, and follow directions. Prior cleaning experience preferred.
