The University of Northern Iowa is seeking a part-time custodian to support building maintenance. Duties include cleaning, trash/recycling, changing light bulbs, snow/ice removal, and reporting repairs.
Schedule is Monday–Friday, 3:00 pm–11:30 pm; this is a temporary position with a maximum of 1040 hours per fiscal year. Minimum requirements include the ability to read, write, and follow directions; prior cleaning experience preferred.

Under direct supervision, performs custodial duties necessary for the general maintenance of buildings which involve tasks that require carrying, lifting, bending; empties trash and recycling; changes light bulbs in assigned areas using stepladder; shovels snow and spreads ice melt to maintain building entrances; reports needed repairs by completing repair slips; fills out order forms for requesting cleaning materials, supplies, etc.; locks and unlocks doors; operates machines to facilitate cleaning activities; and performs other related duties as assigned. This is a temporary position with a work schedule of Monday - Friday, 3:00 pm to 11:30 pm. Temporary positions are limited to 1040 hours per fiscal year.
Ability to read, write, and follow directions. Prior cleaning experience preferred.
