Job summary

Argo Group seeks a Workers' Compensation Claims Adjuster for a temporary assignment ending 9 October 2026, with remote work allowed from anywhere in the United States. It may convert to temp-to-hire if based in Albany, Chicago, Los Angeles, New York City, Omaha, or Richmond (VA).

The role covers high-technical complexity indemnity claims in CT, DC, DE, MD, and VT. You will record hours, may work overtime, and handle claims with a focus on financial outcome, reserving, and settlement

Qualifications

• Minimum five years experience adjudicating workers' compensation claims in CT, DC, DE, MD, and VT.
• Bachelor’s degree required; two or more insurance designations or four additional years experience may substitute for a degree.
• License required in CT, DE, and VT.
• Strong communication and time management skills.

Responsibilities

• Adjudicate high-technical-complexity workers' comp claims.
• Investigate claims promptly with involved parties.
• Report trends to senior management and underwriters.
• Set claim reserves and coordinate expert resources.
• Negotiate settlements and document file reports.
