Job summary

Argo Group seeks a Workers' Compensation Claims Adjuster for a temporary assignment with an end date of 9 October 2026. Work from anywhere in the United States, or from one of several offices if available.

The role handles high complexity indemnity claims across CT, DC, DE, MD and VT, with overtime possible and benefits as described. Requirements include five years of WC adjudication experience, a Bachelor’s degree, and CT/DE/VT licenses.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required. Two or more insurance designations or four additional years of related experience may substitute for the degree.
• License required in CT, DE, and VT.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and time management skills.

Responsibilities

• Adjudicate workers' compensation claims of higher technical complexity under strong direction.
• Investigate claims promptly and thoroughly.
• Analyze claims forms, policies, endorsements, and instructions to determine coverage.
• Prepare reports for file documentation and management review.
• Negotiate settlements and coordinate expert resources as needed.
• Record hours and submit timesheets; overtime may be required.
• Maintain strong customer focus and professional communications.
