Job summary

Argo Group is seeking a highly capable Workers' Compensation Claims Adjuster for a temporary assignment with an expected end date of October 9, 2026. The role is work-from-anywhere in the United States, with in-office options in select cities if feasible.

You will adjudicate high-complexity indemnity workers' comp claims across CT, DC, DE, MD and VT, with responsibilities including investigation, reserves, settlements, and timely documentation.

Qualifications

• Minimum five years' experience adjudicating workers' compensation claims in CT, DC, DE, MD, or VT.
• Bachelor's degree from an accredited university is required; designations may substitute for a degree.
• License required in CT, DE, & VT.
• Strong business acumen and understanding of insurance operations.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to build lasting relationships.

Responsibilities

• Adjudicate workers' compensation claims of higher technical complexity.
• Investigate claims promptly and thoroughly, interview involved parties.
• Analyze forms, policies, endorsements, and client instructions to determine coverage.
• Manage claims in litigation and coordinate expert resources.
• Prepare reports and document files; negotiate settlements.
• Record hours accurately and comply with timekeeping policies.
