Job summary

HomeFirst in Mountain View is seeking a Temporary Shift Supervisor for the Cold Weather Shelter Program.

The role oversees day-to-day Emergency Shelter operations, supervises Resident Advocates/Coordinators, ensures safety and compliance, and coordinates with the Program Manager.

Ideal candidates are sensitive to unhoused populations, capable of de-escalation and crisis response, and committed to respectful service in a diverse, supportive team.

Qualifications

• AA Degree (or equivalent of 2 years of higher education) OR three years of field experience in social services
• Sensitivity to the needs of unhoused individuals
• Experience working with an unhoused population

Responsibilities

• Ensure service delivery standards are met
• Care, safety, and supervision of program participants, guests, and staff
• Maintain shelter guidelines and site rules for program participants
• Complete and file paperwork in a timely manner
