Job summary

HomeFirst is seeking a Temporary Shift Supervisor for the Cold Weather Shelter Program in Mountain View. You will oversee staff and participants, enforce shelter rules, and coordinate safety and services during swing/overnight shifts.

The role requires strong leadership, communication, and the ability to work with unhoused populations in a fast-paced setting. Temporary position through April 2027 with comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• AA Degree (or equivalent) or 2+ years of higher education in social services.
• Excellent written and spoken communication; strong interpersonal skills.
• Ability to multitask and work effectively in a fast-paced shelter environment.

Responsibilities

• Direct supervision of participants, guests, and staff.
• Ensure safety, compliance, and adherence to shelter guidelines.
• Assist with referrals, intakes, reports, and scheduling.
