Job summary

Taleo is seeking a short-term IT support specialist for a Montana legislative session. The role begins as soon as possible and runs through June 30, 2027, with non-partisan responsibilities and full-time hours in Helena.

Responsibilities include training on the vote system, running the vote system during floor sessions (including Saturdays), on-camera support, and maintaining political neutrality in bill voting. The position also covers level-1 support, workstation setup, and asset management.

Qualifications

• Requires typically a 2-year degree in computer science or related field and about 2 years of direct computer/AV support experience.
• Performs level-1 technical support and documents problems and solutions.
• Experience with configuring workstations and basic hardware maintenance is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Train users on the vote system and run the Legislative vote system during floor sessions (including Saturdays).
• Provide on-camera support and maintain professional appearance and neutrality.
• Deliver help desk support for hardware, software, network, and AV systems; monitor tickets and escalate as needed.
• Manage user accounts, access, and password resets; assist with staff onboarding and workstation deployment.
• Inventory and asset management for hardware, software, and AV equipment; image/workstation setup and testing.
