Job summary

Legislative Branch in Helena, MT seeks a Short-Term Tech Support role for the legislative session. Responsibilities include training on the vote system, running the vote system during Floor Sessions (including Saturdays), on-camera support with professional appearance, and maintaining neutrality in bill voting.

Qualifications

• Typically education and experience equivalent to a 2-year degree in computer science or a related field.
• Other combinations of education and/or experience may be considered.

Responsibilities

• Provide level-1 technical support and respond to inquiries promptly.
• Use problem solving techniques to understand, isolate and document problems.
• Work with level two and three staff to solve more challenging problems.
• Manage user accounts, access, passwords, and lockouts.
• Set up new staff, test applications, deploy equipment, and document in tracking system.
• Provide hands-on training on hardware and software to computer users.
• Keep current on software and hardware products and capabilities.
• Perform in-person, telephone, or email help desk support for hardware, software, network, AV, and inventory.
