Job summary

County of Riverside, Riverside County Flood Control Department, seeks a Temporary Equipment Parts Storekeeper in Riverside. The role manages procurement, storage and issuing parts for a large fleet, coordinates with vendors, and prepares inventory reports using asset management software and Microsoft Office.

Travel to other facilities may be required. Shift is Monday–Thursday, 6:00 am–4:30 pm, with TEM TAN assignments through the TAP program.

Qualifications

• Two years of experience in obtaining, storing, and issuing automotive or construction equipment parts.
• Knowledge of storekeeping methods and procedures; stock control and perpetual inventory procedures.
• Ability to maintain up-to-date perpetual inventory records; identify parts from various equipment.

Responsibilities

• Keep a large perpetual inventory of parts for automotive and construction equipment and determine order points.
• Receive, store and issue materials; check prices and ensure credit on exchanges; source non-stock parts.
• inspe ct deliveries for damage or quantity discrepancies and manage purchases orders.
• Purchase parts from suppliers on open purchase orders; maintain inventory control records.
• Keep records and prepare reports of welding, painting, and other road supplies.
