Job summary

Riverside County Flood Control Department is seeking a Temporary Equipment Parts Storekeeper in Riverside. The role manages inventory for a large fleet of automotive and construction equipment, sources parts, and coordinates with vendors.

Travel to other Flood Control facilities may be required. Experience with asset management systems and generating inventory reports is preferred, with strong emphasis on Excel skills.

Qualifications

• Two years of experience in obtaining, storing, and issuing automotive or construction equipment parts.
• Proficiency in asset management software and Microsoft Excel is highly desirable.
• Experience generating inventory reports and managing perpetual inventory records.

Responsibilities

• Keeps a large perpetual inventory of parts used for automotive and construction equipment; determines order points and places orders as needed.
• Receives, stores, and issues materials; checks prices and credits on exchanges; sources parts not stocked and selects suppliers.
• Participates in shop repairs by anticipating parts needs and coordinating with vendors; inspects deliveries for damage and quantity discrepancies.
