Job summary

The Morris Inn and Three Leaf Catering at the University of Notre Dame are seeking temporary cooks to support the campus hospitality team. Cook 1–3 levels offer hands-on kitchen experience, with responsibilities spanning basic prep, station work, and food safety in a busy dining environment.

Positions are part-time with a pay rate of $17.50–$19.50 per hour, commensurate with experience. The role requires good time management, teamwork, and physical stamina to stand long hours and lift up to 25

Qualifications

• Capable of managing time effectively with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

• Assist with fundamental food preparation, including chopping vegetables and mise en place.
• Prepare simple menu items such as salads, sandwiches, and breakfast dishes.
• Maintain a clean and stocked workstation throughout service.
• Adhere to all food safety and hygiene standards.
• Receive and store deliveries under supervision.
• Set up and break down your station with necessary tools and ingredients.
• Monitor food quality and assist with station management.
