Job summary

Rockland Trust in Mashpee, MA is seeking a Teller Trainee to start at the front of branch operations, delivering friendly, accurate service and processing transactions as you learn banking products and procedures.

You’ll greet customers, advise on suitable services, handle deposits and withdrawals, and train with the team to expand responsibilities while meeting performance standards and compliance requirements.

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Comfortable using technology, including computers.
Sales‑ and service‑oriented personality.
Professional appearance.
Positive customer and team interactions.
Ability to work the normal office hours with long periods of standing in a customer‑centered environment.
Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
Flexibility to work weekends as needed.
Completion of all onboarding, compliance, regulatory, operational and continuing education within deadlines.

Responsibilities

Greet customers as they enter the branch.
Provide efficient, courteous service in person and via telephone.
Advise customers on banking products that meet their needs.
Process deposits, withdrawals, payments, and other transactions with high accuracy.
Make decisions with guidance from supervisor and expand responsibilities over time.
Collaborate with training team and branch staff to complete Teller Training.
Perform other duties assigned by management.
