Job summary

Liberty FCU is seeking a Full Time Teller/Member Service Representative at the Thompson's Station office. You will handle member transactions, provide friendly service, and promote bank products while maintaining security and confidentiality.

The role requires a HS diploma, flexibility to travel to other locations, and the ability to stand for long periods. Prior banking experience is preferred, with a training period possibly in Evansville, IN.

Qualifications

• Must have HS diploma or GED and be at least 18 years old.
• 1-2 years of cash handling experience preferred.
• Must be able to travel to other office locations when needed.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary Member Service Representative (MSR).
• Handle deposits, withdrawals, loan payments, transfers and card payments with accuracy.
• Place holds on deposited funds when appropriate and identify potential fraud.
• Recommend suitable products and services based on member needs while maintaining confidentiality.
• Balance cash drawer daily and support branch goals and initiatives.
• Assist with processing night drop and balancing branch cash machines.
• Help members access safe deposit boxes and respond to inquiries.

Liberty FCU, a full-service credit union, is seeking a Full Time Member Service Representative/Teller for the Thompson's Station office located at 1105 Elliston Way, Thompson's Station, TN 37179. Candidates must possess excellent member service skills, professionalism and confidentiality. Previous financial institution experience is preferred. The Thompson's Station hours of operation are Monday-Thursday 8:30 - 5:00 and Friday 8:30 - 6:00. Candidates must be available to work up to 40 hours per week. If applicable, a two-three week training program will be held in Evansville, IN. Approved travel expenses (hotel, meals, mileage, etc.) will be included.

Duties and Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:

• Serve as a primary Member Service Representative (MSR).
  • Meet member needs by maintaining appropriate knowledge of all company products and services.
  • Run various member transactions such as deposits, withdrawals, loan payments, credit card payments, transfers, and shared branching transactions with a high degree of accuracy.
  • Determine acceptability of negotiable items place holds on deposited funds when appropriate.
  • Learn to identify potential fraud situations and take appropriate action to help protect the member and the Credit Union.
  • Learn to recognize member’s needs and recommend appropriate products and services while providing quality member service.
  • Strive to balance cash drawer each day.
  • Strive to meet MSR cross sell goals and work to support all branch goals and initiatives.
  • Assist with processing night drop.
  • Assist in balancing branch cash machines.
  • Assist members in accessing safe deposit boxes.
  • Answer member telephone inquiries.
• Represent the Credit Union to the members in a friendly, positive, and professional manner greeting members as they enter the branch.
• Demonstrate appropriate knowledge of company policies and procedures related to the MSR duties, including security and information security.
• Complete all required compliance training.
• Maintain a high level of confidentiality and security when dealing with member information and agree to shred all papers with confidential information.
• Prepare all daily work items for transfer to the appropriate departments.

Qualifications:

• Must have a HS diploma or GED and be at least 18 years of age.
• Must be able to work a flexible schedule and travel to other office locations when needed.
• Must be able to stand for long periods of time and do some heavy lifting.
• Must have 1-2 years of cash handling experience.
• Banking experience preferred.
