Liberty FCU in Murfreesboro, TN, is seeking a Full-Time Member Service Representative/Teller at our Veteran's Parkway Office. You will handle member transactions, provide high-quality service, and protect member information. The role includes cash handling, balancing drawers, and supporting branch goals.

Training is provided; flexibility to travel to other office locations as needed. Prior banking experience is a plus, but strong customer service skills are essential.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary Member Service Representative (MSR).
• Process deposits, withdrawals, loan payments, credit card payments, transfers, and shared branching transactions with accuracy.
• Identify potential fraud and take appropriate action to protect members and the Credit Union.
• Balance cash drawer daily and strive to meet MSR cross-sell goals.
• Assist with processing night drop and balancing branch cash machines.
• Answer member inquiries and represent the Credit Union professionally.

Liberty FCU, a full-service credit union, is seeking a Full-Time Member Service Representative/Teller for our Veteran's Parkway Office, located at 5108 Veterans Parkway, Murfreesboro, TN 37128. Candidates must possess excellent member service skills, professionalism and confidentiality. Previous financial institution experience is preferred. The Veteran's Parkway Office hours of operation are Monday through Thursday 8:30 a.m. - 5:00 p.m., Friday 8:30 a.m. - 6:00 p.m., and Saturday 8:30 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. If applicable, a two-three week paid training program will be held in Evansville, IN. Approved travel expenses (hotel, meals, mileage, etc) will be included.

Duties and Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:

• Serve as a primary Member Service Representative (MSR).
  • Meet member needs by maintaining appropriate knowledge of all company products and services.
  • Run various member transactions such as deposits, withdrawals, loan payments, credit card payments, transfers, and shared branching transactions with a high degree of accuracy.
  • Determine acceptability of negotiable items place holds on deposited funds when appropriate.
  • Learn to identify potential fraud situations and take appropriate action to help protect the member and the Credit Union.
  • Learn to recognize member’s needs and recommend appropriate products and services while providing quality member service.
  • Strive to balance cash drawer each day.
  • Strive to meet MSR cross sell goals and work to support all branch goals and initiatives.
  • Assist with processing night drop.
  • Assist in balancing branch cash machines.
  • Assist members in accessing safe deposit boxes.
  • Answer member telephone inquiries.
• Represent the Credit Union to the members in a friendly, positive, and professional manner greeting members as they enter the branch.
• Demonstrate appropriate knowledge of company policies and procedures related to the MSR duties, including security and information security.
• Complete all required compliance training.
• Maintain a high level of confidentiality and security when dealing with member information and agree to shred all papers with confidential information.
• Prepare all daily work items for transfer to the appropriate departments.

Qualifications:

• Must have a HS diploma or GED and be at least 18 years of age.
• Must be able to work a flexible schedule and travel to other office locations when needed.
• Must be able to stand for long periods of time and do some heavy lifting.
• Must have 1-2 years of cash handling experience.
• Banking experience preferred.
