Position Summary

Provides exceptional customer service and basic product information through transactions including a variety of savings, checking and loan account transactions, as well as money orders and official checks. Establishes rapport and identifies cross-sell opportunities and refers customers to appropriate business partners. This position requires the ability to float between multiple branch locations as needed.

Reporting and Schedule

Reports to Assistant Branch Manager.

Full and Part Time positions available with flexible hours: Monday - Thursday 8:15 am - 4:45 pm; Friday 8:15 am - 5:15 pm; Saturday 8:45 am - 1:15 pm. *Saturdays are required/rotation schedule.

Major Duties & Responsibilities

1. Responsible for comprehensive, prompt, and efficient customer service. Ensures accurate processing of transactions including savings, checking, and loan accounts, adhering to policies and procedures. Transactions also include bond redemption, cash advances, and safe deposit box payments.
2. Assist customers with account maintenance questions both in the branch and via telephone.
3. Remain up to date on bank products, services, policies, practices, and procedures.
4. Promote bank products and services by referring customers to appropriate business partners based on needs, using our computer software PCV. This includes loan, business, and investment services.
5. Balance cash drawer daily and report discrepancies.
6. Assist supervisors in daily branch operations and sales activities.
7. Ensure the teller station and branch are properly stocked with forms and supplies.
8. Float between multiple branch locations as needed.

Education & Experience

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Successful completion of in-house training program.
• Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities: Good communication, interpersonal skills, superior customer service, attention to detail, and computer skills.
• Ability to recognize customer needs to refer products.
