Job summary

Commonwealth of Pennsylvania seeks an Income Maintenance Caseworker to determine eligibility for assistance programs and guide customers toward resources. After IMSTP training, you will perform casework in an office setting with ongoing support from a team.

You will conduct interviews, review applications for Medicaid, SNAP, LIHEAP, and more, and ensure accurate decisions through policy interpretation and thorough documentation.

Qualifications

• Four years of experience in interviewing or data interpretation.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent work/training.
• Eligibility met if within 3 months of graduating.

Responsibilities

• Eligibility Review: evaluate applications for programs such as financial assistance, Medicaid, SNAP, LIHEAP, Nursing Home Care, and Waivers.
• Customer Interviews: conduct phone and in-person interviews to gather information.
• Policy Application: interpret and apply state and federal regulations for case decisions.
• Data Entry: enter information into automated systems and perform calculations.
• Case Documentation: write clear case comments to document decisions.
• Deadline Management: complete work within timeframes and procedures.
