Job summary
RWJBarnabas Health is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Post Coronary Care Unit at the New Brunswick campus. This Day shift, part-time position focuses on adult cardiac and telemetry patients in a 31-bed unit.
The role requires NJ RN licensure, BLS, ACLS, and an associate degree with a preference for a Bachelor's degree. Experience in MED-SURG/telemetry, EPIC EMR, and commitment to evidence-based practice are valued.
Qualifications
- Active New Jersey RN license in good standing
- Current American Heart Association BLS certification
- ACLS certification required
- Associate degree in Nursing required; Bachelor’s degree strongly preferred
- EMR experience with EPIC preferred
Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive patient assessments and recognize changes
- Administer safe, evidence-based medications and treatments
- Collaborate with physicians and providers for timely care decisions
- Provide clear, compassionate education to patients and families
- Document accurately in the electronic medical record
- Contribute to interdisciplinary rounds and care transitions
- Support a collaborative team environment and continuous improvement
- Pursue ongoing professional growth through continuing education and ladder opportunities
