Job summary

RWJBarnabas Health is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse for the Medical-Surgical Telemetry unit at Jersey City Medical Center.

The RN will conduct patient assessments, administer medications, and coordinate care with physicians while documenting in EPIC. A NJ RN license, BLS/ACLS, and strong communication are essential; BSN preferred. Full-time day shift, with every other weekend.

Qualifications

• Active New Jersey Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing or Multistate RN License with NJ endorsement.
• BLS and ACLS certifications required within 6 months of hire.
• Bachelor’s degree in Nursing strongly preferred; EMR experience with EPIC recommended.

Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive patient assessments and recognize clinical changes.
• Administer safe, evidence-based medications and treatments.
• Collaborate with physicians and care teams for timely, coordinated care.
• Educate patients and families to support informed decisions.
• Document accurately in the EMR to ensure continuity of care.
• Participate in rounds and contribute to interdisciplinary teamwork.
