Job summary

RWJBarnabas Health is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) for Jersey City Medical Center's Medical-Surgical Unit-I. This full-time day shift role involves comprehensive patient assessments, safe medication administration, and collaborative care with physicians and the healthcare team.

Candidates must hold an active New Jersey RN license, BLS, and ACLS within 6 months of hire. A BSN is strongly preferred, with telemtry/med-surg experience and EPIC EMR familiarity enhancing candidacy.

Qualifications

Active New Jersey RN license in good standing (or Multistate with NJ endorsement).
Current BLS certification; ACLS required within 6 months of hire.
Bachelor’s degree in Nursing strongly preferred; prior Telemetry/Medical-Surgical experience preferred.
Experience with electronic medical records (EMR) like EPIC.

Responsibilities

Conduct comprehensive patient assessments and recognize clinical changes; intervene promptly.
Administer and document medications and treatments with strong clinical judgment.
Collaborate with physicians and advanced providers for timely care decisions.
Educate patients and families to ensure understanding of care plans.
