Job summary

Hackensack Meridian Health is seeking a Patient Care Technician to provide direct and indirect patient care under RN supervision. You will perform phlebotomy, EKGs, vital signs, and basic nursing tasks, while ensuring patient safety and comfort in a fast-paced hospital environment.

Qualified candidates have a HS diploma or GED and have completed a CNA/MA/PCT program or the HMH PCT Apprenticeship, with strong teamwork and communication skills.

Qualifications

• HS diploma or GED required.
• Completion of one of the listed nursing assistant or patient care technician programs or HMH PCT Apprenticeship.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient care within scope of license and patient population.
• Record clinical data and notify RN of abnormal findings.
• Assist with monitoring, specimen collection, and basic patient care tasks.
• Maintain patient safety, comfort, and dignity during care.
• Support interdisciplinary team in plan of care from admission to discharge.
