CHS Career Site is seeking a Monitor Technician to provide continuous surveillance of telemetry monitors, document patient rhythms, and promptly communicate findings to the healthcare team. Role emphasizes patient safety and accurate equipment configuration.

The candidate should interpret EKG rhythms, escalate concerning changes, and maintain reliable attendance in a night-shift environment within a hospital setting.

Qualificações

• Completion of a telemetry or EKG interpretation course during orientation period required.
• 0-2 years of clerical and/or clinical experience in a medical setting required.

Responsabilidades

• Continuously observes and interprets patient telemetry monitors, recording rhythm strips at established intervals.
• Identifies rhythm changes and promptly notifies the nurse or licensed personnel.
• Maintains effective communication with peers, staff, physicians, and leaders for care coordination.
• Troubleshoots and resolves issues with monitoring equipment, escalating as directed.
• Organizes and tracks monitoring equipment during the shift for admissions, transfers, and discharges.
• Ensures accurate lead placement and electrode application for optimal telemetry monitoring.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
• Maintains regular and reliable attendance.
• Complies with all policies and standards.
