Job summary

CHS Career Site in Naples, FL seeks a part-time Monitor Technician to provide continuous telemetry surveillance and documentation of patient rhythms. You will interpret EKG rhythms, promptly notify clinicians of rhythm changes, and support safe, effective patient care.

You’ll troubleshoot monitors, maintain lead placement, and coordinate with the care team during admissions, transfers, and discharges. This role requires a high school diploma and completion of a telemetry or EKG interpretation

Qualifications

• Telemetry or EKG interpretation course during orientation required
• 0-2 years of clerical and/or clinical experience in a medical setting required

Responsibilities

• Observe and interpret telemetry monitors and record rhythm strips at established intervals
• Identify rhythm changes and promptly notify the nurse or licensed personnel
• Maintain effective communication with peers, staff, physicians, and leaders for seamless care coordination
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues with monitoring equipment and escalate as directed
• Organize and track monitoring equipment during the shift for admissions, transfers, and discharges
• Ensure accurate lead placement and electrode application for optimal telemetry monitoring
• Perform other duties as assigned
• Maintain regular and reliable attendance
