Job summary

CHS Career Site is seeking a Monitor Technician responsible for continuous telemetry surveillance, rhythm interpretation, and ensuring equipment is properly configured to support patient safety. You will communicate findings to the healthcare team and assist with care delivery in a fast-paced environment.

Ideal candidates have up to 2 years of clerical/clinical experience and completed a telemetry/EKG interpretation course during orientation.

Qualifications

• Telemetry/EKG rhythm interpretation; identify arrhythmias.
• 0–2 years of clerical or clinical medical setting experience.

Responsibilities

• Continuously observes telemetry monitors and records rhythm strips at set intervals.
• Identifies rhythm changes and notifies the nurse or licensed staff promptly.
• Maintains clear communication with healthcare team to coordinate care.
• Troubleshoots monitoring equipment and escalates issues as directed.
• Organizes and tracks monitoring equipment during shifts.
• Ensures correct lead placement and electrode application for telemetry.
• Performs other duties and maintains regular attendance.
• Adheres to all policies and safety standards.
