Qualifications

• HS diploma or equivalent required.
• Maintain BLS competency; pass rhythm interpretation test.
• Minimum six months of related experience.
• Acute care experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Interpret and monitor cardiac rhythms on telemetry.
• Review patient data to determine baseline rhythm.
• Place telemetry leads and ensure correct placement.
• Notify RN of rhythm changes and ischemia signs.
• Maintain and troubleshoot central monitoring system.
• Keep telemetry equipment and supplies stocked.
• Attend staff meetings and review minutes.
• Maintain patient confidentiality and comply with standards.
