Job summary

Danbury Hospital is seeking a Telemetry Monitor Tech to continuously monitor cardiac rhythms and document findings on a central station. The role may be on a nursing unit or remote central unit, ensuring accurate rhythm interpretation and timely communication with staff.

Required HS diploma and BLS; at least six months of related experience. Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot central monitoring systems and maintain confidentiality. Competitive hourly pay and benefits.

Qualifications

• HS Grad or equivalent.
• Maintain competency for Basic Life Support (BLS) with successful test.
• Minimum six months of telemetry nursing support experience.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and interpret cardiac rhythms and report variances to nursing staff.
• Place telemetry leads and assist with skin prep and lead placement as needed.
• Notify RN of rhythm changes or ischemia indicators and escalate appropriately.
• Maintain central monitoring station operations and inventory of telemetry supplies.
• Protect patient confidentiality and adhere to hospital behavioral standards.
