Job summary

Danbury Hospital in Danbury, CT, seeks a Nursing Monitor Tech to perform continuous cardiac rhythm monitoring on the unit or remotely in a central unit. You will interpret rhythms, document findings, and communicate variances to the nursing team.

Qualifications

• HS grad or equivalent required.
• Maintain competency for Basic Life Support (BLS) and pass required tests.
• Six months minimum experience in telemetry or acute care setting.
• Successful attainment of cardiac rhythm interpretation testing.
• Strong attention to confidentiality and accuracy.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and interpret patient cardiac rhythms and variances.
• Notify nursing staff of rhythm changes or misplacements.
• Maintain and troubleshoot central monitoring system.
• Document patient telemetry data and events.
• Assist with lead placement and skin preparation as needed.
• Escalate to RN as required if concerns arise.
• Attend staff meetings and adhere to standards.
