Job summary

Danbury Hospital is seeking a Telemetry Monitor Tech to perform continuous cardiac rhythm monitoring, either on a nursing unit or remotely in a central unit. The role includes interpreting rhythms, documenting measurements, and communicating findings per protocol.

Requirements include BLS competency, a rhythm interpretation test, and six months of experience preferred. The position offers benefits and an hourly wage range of $19.00–$26.50, with a full-time schedule and a collaborative team

Qualifications

• Must maintain competency for BLS and pass a rhythm interpretation test.
• Experience in acute care preferred but not required.
• Willingness to complete a 4-hour class, exam, and 40 hours of hands-on training.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and interpret cardiac rhythms and rhythm components.
• Position telemetry leads correctly and assist with skin prep and lead placement.
• Notify nursing staff of rhythm changes or abnormalities and escalate as needed when RN is unavailable.
• Maintain the central monitoring station and troubleshoot equipment.
